Required Events
Required events are events that are mandatory for first-year students to attend. For Fall 2023, required events included Jumpstart and the Academic Experience sessions (details below).

Signature Events
Signature events are large-scale events put on by different departments on campus that are designed to give you exposure to the great programs and services available to you at the university. These events are optional and will take place from August 14th to 19th.

Community-Hosted Events
Community-hosted events are events that are smaller in scale and hosted by various members of the university community. These events are put on by campus departments, student organizations, and others who are invested in your first-year experience! These events are optional and provide you with yet another opportunity to learn more about all Texas State has to offer.
